Lek Import Cars BV offers you the opportunity to sell your car on consignment. This means that we offer your car for sale, without buying it from you. As soon as the car is sold you will receive the money, just like with regular sales.
The advantage of consignment sales
Many people still don’t feel comfortable buying private cars. Especially when it involves a somewhat more special model. In that case consignment sales is an interesting option. It increases the sales chances, it saves the seller a lot of time and often the selling price is higher than when you’re selling it yourself.
Lek Import Cars regularly sells cars on consignment. We publish your car on our website and with over 4200 unique visitors each month we receive the public that is looking for your car. We advertise a lot to attract the right visitors. You can take advantage of that as well..
Lek Import Cars offers 2 options for consignment sales.
Option 1: Selling without active sale by Lek Import Cars
Your car will be published on our website with information and pictures supplied by you*. Your e-mail address and – if you want – your telephone number will be mentioned in the advertisement as well. With this option there is no active sale by Lek Import Cars. However, we do offer you the opportunity to put an advertisement on other websites to increase the selling chances. This option involves the following charges:
- Your car is published on the website of Lek Import Cars for max. 6 months € 85,-
- Placement of a non-recurrent ad on Autotrader and Marktplaats with a link to our site € 65,-
- If you wish you can garage our car with us. Charges: € 90,- per month
(3 months deposit to be paid in advance and always 1 month payable before the end of the new month and you should keep your car insured yourself).
Option 2: Active sale by Lek Import Cars
Your car will be published on our website with information and pictures supplied by you*. The difference with option 1, is that our contact details are mentioned, so we act as vendor in this case. This gives the purchasing party a lot of confidence. To enable us to sell our car in the best possible way, we would like to see our car first. Thus we can give a proper assessment of the car on the website and to potential buyers. We sell the car for at least the agreed lowest selling price.
After the deal has been closed, the buyer pays the full amount to you. Only after you have received the amount, you pay the commission agreed in advance to us. When choosing this option, the placement of an ad on Autotrader and Marktplaats is a compulsory item.
This option involves the following charges:
- Your car is published on the webiste of Lek Import Cars for max. 6 months € 85,-
- Placement of a non-recurrent ad on Autotrader and Marktplaats once with a link to our site € 65,-
- If you wish you can garage our car with us. Charges: € 60,- per month
(3 months deposit to be paid in advance and always 1 month payable before the end of the new month and you should keep your car insured yourself). - With an asking price up to max. € 19.999,- your pay a commission of € 500,-
- With an asking price from € 20.000,- you pay a commission of € 1000,-
- With an asking price from € 40.000,- you pay a commission of € 1500,-
Comprehensive and fair information increases the chance of selling. That’s why we would like to receive as much information as possible about your car to publish on our website. Copy and paste the specifications below in an e-mail message and fill it out completely. After receipt of this e-mail you will receive a form from us, which should be completed, signed and returned to us.

Make a good and most of all fair (!) description of your car and send at least 5 clear pictures in one of the following resolutions:
- 800 x 600 pixels
- 1024 x 768 pixels
- 1152 x 864 pixels
You can easily resize pictures online with Dr. Pic. Please don’t paste the pictures in a Word-documents, but send them as attachment of your e-mail.
In case you want to garage your car at a sales location, you need to fill out a form before we can accept your car for garaging. Ask us about it if you are interested in this sales option.
*Attention: your car will only be published as soon as we have received the full payment, excluding the commission. All prices are quoted excluding 19% VAT.
