What Edmunds.com Says:

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro is a head-turning muscle car and will certainly get you noticed. For tire-burning power and Hollywood flash, it doesn't get much better than the Chevrolet Camaro.

Pros
Strong acceleration with any engine; head-turning looks; good V6/V8 fuel economy; capable handling.

Cons
Poor visibility; tiny trunk opening; cramped backseat.

The Ford Mustang’s competitor
The Chevrolet Camaro is a popular sports car, introduced by the Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors. He was introduced to compete with the Ford Mustang on September 29 1966, i.e. year of production 1967. With Chevrolet the year of production starts 3 months before the actual start of the year.

The main components of the car were similar to those of the Pontiac Firebird, whose years of production exactly match those of the Camaro. The production of both cars was stopped in 2002:

  • 1st generation: 1967–1969
  • 2nd generation: 1970–1981
  • 3rd generation: 1982–1992
  • 4th generation: 1993–2002
  • 5th generation: 2009-present (produced from May 16 2009)

The models: V6 (LT & LS) V8 (SS & ZL)
